A couple of weeks ago, we told you about a new tool that B&q had developed to help them find their next batch of glazing work.
Today, we’re bringing you a look at what the company is up to with its new app, and what you can expect to see in its first app.
The app will let you browse and sort the glazing and exterior work photos that B.J.R. has created and shared with the public, so that you can browse them to see if they are the right fit for your home or office.
It also lets you easily compare the glaze work photos from B. J.R.’s past, and compare their quality to the best of the current batch of images on B&queries.com.
Once you’ve finished your selection, you can choose to have the photos displayed or display them in a gallery, which is something you can’t do with B&Queries.
The app will also let you zoom in on a specific image and preview it in a new window.
B&Q’s new tool is pretty simple.
You can click a picture, then a link to B&qs own gallery, and it will take you to a page with a selection of photos.
The first thing you see there is a small preview of the glazed portion of the photo, and then you’ll see a small image that shows you how to rotate and resize it.
Then, from there, you have the option to create a new gallery from the same photo and share it with other B&Que users.
That way, you could take photos of your children’s birthday party or of a family holiday.
There’s also an option to put the images in a separate gallery and have them displayed in one.
It’s an interesting feature that I think could make the whole process of glazing your home more interesting, especially if you are sharing a home with a lot of guests.
The app is currently available in beta and will be available to download for $4.99 this Friday.
More information can be found on BQ’s website, and the app can be downloaded here.
