Fixing double glazed windows is not a new problem for the CGS, but this article from Reuters brings us the first glimpse of what could be a new solution.
A number of the screws in the article were cracked and were leaking oil.
CGS has a fix available for the screws, and is working with an oil-free coating to protect the window.
The article notes that the fix is expected to take about a week.
The solution is the same as replacing the screws and repairing the windows.
There is no mention of the cost of the repair, but if you can afford to pay for the repair and have a few spare screws lying around, then it may not be a bad idea to get it done before it’s too late.
I’d be willing to give up some comfort and maybe a bit of money if I could save a couple of hours in the long run.
Hopefully this will give the Cgs window repair team some peace of mind.
