It’s one of those things you know you need to do to make your home warmer and more comfortable, but you’re not sure if it’s worth the effort.
Here’s how to fit a double glaze into your window to save energy and reduce the chance of frostbite.
Choose a double pane window 2.
Measure the height and width of the window 3.
Cut a hole for the glazing 4.
Cut out a piece of double pane glass and attach it to the back of the glass with two screws 5.
Wrap the glass around the window frame using the two screws to hold it in place 6.
Apply a coat of clear coat to the glass to help keep it clear 7.
Lightly glue the glazed window frame to the window 7a.
Use a 1/4″ diameter pipe to glue the glass frame to window frame 7b.
Use two screws on the backside of the pipe to attach the pipe 7c.
Use the screws to secure the pipe into the back window frame 8.
Close the frame and apply a coat 8a.
Apply clear coat, coating the glass 10.
Light to add insulation and reduce moisture 11.
Make sure the glass is completely dry 12.
Clean the window and apply wax sealant 13.
Apply the window sealant to the windows frame 14.
Apply wax sealants to the frames side window 15.
Apply sealant sealant on the sides of the frame 16.
Apply water sealant 17.
Close and lock the frame to your home and watch your home warm up!
